2022년 미국 공휴일. Federal Holiday in US year 2022.

좀 많이 늦은 감이 있지만, 2022년도 미국 휴무일에 대해 포스팅 합니다.

It's a little late, but I'm posting about the holiday in the U.S. in 2022.

 

우리는 공휴일을 영어식 표현으로 National holiday라고 하고 있으나, 미국에서는 Federal holiday라는 표현을 쓰고 있습니다.  2022년도 미국 휴무일 (Federal holiday) 은 아래와 같습니다. 

We use the expression "National holiday" in English, but we use the expression "Federal holiday" in the United States. The Federal Holiday in 2022 is as follows.

 

2022 federal holidays:

새해 첫 날 New Year’s Day: Saturday, January 1 (Observed Friday, December 31) 

마틴 루터 킹 데이 Martin Luther King Jr Day: Monday, January 17

위싱턴대통령 탄신일 President’s Day: Monday, February 21

현충일 Memorial Day: Monday, May 30

노예해방일 Juneteenth: Sunday, June 19 (Observed Monday, June 20)

독립기념일 Independence Day: Monday, July 4

근로자의 날 Labor Day: Monday, September 5

컬럼버스의 날 Indigenous Peoples’ Day (also observed as Columbus Day): Monday, October 10

재항군인의 날 Veterans’ Day: Friday, November 11

추수감사절 Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 24

크리스마스 Christmas Day: Sunday, December 25 (Observed Monday, December 26)

 

 

그리고, 위에서 언급 한 공휴일 외 아래와 같이 미국인들이 매우 중요한 날이라고 여기는 기념일들이 있습니다. 

In addition to the holidays mentioned above, there are other anniversaries that Americans consider to be very important.

 

Other important days to note:

발렌타인 데이 Valentine’s Day: Monday, February 14

성 패트릭의 날 St Patrick’s Day: Thursday, March 17

수난일. 부활절 전 금요일 Good Friday: Friday, April 15

부활절 Easter: Sunday, April 17

엄마의 날 Mother’s Day: Sunday, May 8

아빠의 날 Father’s Day: Sunday, June 19

 

미국, 중국 등 다른 나라들을 보면 한국은 쉬는 날도 현저히 적고 짧은 감이 있어요..

 

우리나라는 선진국 대열에 들었다고는 하나 아직 복지가 많이 뒤쳐진 국가죠. 대기업/공기업 혹은 공무원등에 재직하는 근로자들은 공휴일 및 대체휴일을 쉬어가며 주휴수당을 받고 시간외 일한 것에 대해 시간외 수당이런게 지켜질지 모르나.. 이는 소수에 불과할 뿐이죠. 기업이라는 게 대기업만 있는 것이 아니자나요. 근데, 대부분의 기사들은 그들을 기준으로 쓰고 있는 불편한 진실이 있습니다. 

 

수 많은 중소기업에 재직중인 사람들 혹은 소상공인들은 워라벨은 커녕 대우도 제대로 받지 못한채 정말 일만 하는 기계 또는 하나의 부속품과 같이 취급받으며 불평등 속에서 일하며 살아가고 있죠.. 아직도 근무환경에 대한 처우 개선이 매우 시급하다고 봅니다. 

 

No pain No gain. 고통이 없으면 얻는 것도 없다. 

모두가 일 한만큼 사람답게 대우 받으며, 삶의 질이 높은 그런 나라가 되어 주길 바래봅니다. 

 

If you look at other countries such as the U.S., China, etc., Korea has fewer and shorter days off.



Korea is said to have entered the ranks of advanced countries, but its welfare is still far behind. Workers working for large corporations, public corporations, or civil servants may be paid overtime for working overtime on holidays and alternative holidays. This is just a few. It's not just large companies that have companies. However, there is an uncomfortable truth that most articles write about them as a standard.



Many small and medium-sized enterprises, or small business owners, live in inequality, being treated like machines or accessories that really work without being treated properly, let alone work in a work-life level. I think it is still very urgent to improve the treatment of the working environment.



No pain, no gain.
