지난 화인 647화에서는 조훈은 도제 문정후가 자신의 의견에 왜 그렇게 분노하였는지 이해하지 못하였고, 격뢰도를 완성시키면 초절정 고수가 될 것이라 생각해, 천무신군이 건내준 천마패를 가지고 천마신군을 찾아갑니다. 자신이 생각한 기뢰진을 천마신군이 터득해 완벽하게 시연하자, 조훈은 자신이 만든 기뢰진은 더 이상 자신의 무공이 아닌 천마신공이라고 말하며 천마신군을 주군으로 인정하게 됩니다. 서로 간의 약속을 지킨 것이죠.

이 후 조훈은 자신의 이름을 버리고 지현이란 이름을 쓰며 흑풍회 제 4 돌격대장이 됩니다. 지현은 도제 문정후에게 자신의 무공을 빼앗긴 것이 아니라고 설명을 하게 되며, 오해를 풀어갑니다. 다가올 648화에서는 자하마신과 천마신군의 대결이 극에 달할 것으로 예상되어 집니다.
