애플페이 (ApplePay) 드디어 출시?

 

 기정사실이지만 현대카드가 애플과 애플페이 (ApplePay) 관련 독점적으로 계약을 맺었습니다. 작년부터 애플페이 (ApplePay)가 한국 내 도입된다고 뉴스가 나오고, 11월 출시된다는 뉴스를 듣고 한참 기대감에 부풀었었는데.. 얘기가 쏙 들어가 버렸지요..

 

 저 역시 애플(Apple)의 아이폰(iPhone) 유저로 애플페이 (ApplePay) 도입에 대한 기대감이 많습니다. 바로 오늘, 금융당국이 애플(Apple)의 비접촉식 간편 결제시스템 애플페이 (ApplePay) 의 한국 내 서비스를 허용하기로 금일 최종 발표했다고 소식이 들려왔습니다.

 

"관련 법령과 그간의 법령해석을 고려한 결과 신용카드사들이 필요한 관련 절차를 준수해 애플페이 서비스 도입을 추진할 수 있음을 확인했다", "신용카드사는 관련 법령 준수와 함께 애플페이와 관련한 수수료 등 비용을 고객 또는 가맹점에 부담하게 하지 않아야 한다", "고객 귀책이 없는 개인정보 도난·유출 등으로 야기된 손해에 대해 책임을 지는 등 소비자 보호 방안도 마련해야 한다"라고 강조와 동시에 "향후 애플페이 서비스 출시를 통해 일반 이용자들의 결제 편의성이 제고되고 근접무선통신(NFC) 기술을 기반으로 한 새로운 결제 서비스의 개발·도입이 촉진될 것으로 기대한다"라고 금융위원회에서 언급했다고 하네요.

 

 지난해 12월 애플페이 약관 심사를 마친 것으로 알려졌는데, 곧 좋은 소식이 들렸으면 좋겠습니다.

Apple Pay finally released in Korea?

 

 It is an established fact, but Hyundai Card has signed an exclusive contract with Apple regarding Apple Pay. Since last year, the news that ApplePay will be introduced in Korea came out, and when I heard the news that it would be released in November, I was very excited.

  As an iPhone user of Apple, I am also very excited about the introduction of Apple Pay. Just today, news came that the financial authorities had made a final announcement today to allow Apple Pay, a contactless payment system in Korea.

 "As a result of considering the relevant laws and interpretations of the laws, it was confirmed that credit card companies can promote the introduction of Apple Pay service by complying with the necessary related procedures", "Credit card companies comply with relevant laws and regulations and reduce costs such as fees related to Apple Pay. Customers or affiliates should not be burdened”, “Consumer protection measures such as taking responsibility for damages caused by theft or leakage of personal information for which the customer is not attributable should be prepared,” and at the same time, “We are planning to launch Apple Pay service in the future.” It is expected that this will improve payment convenience for general users and promote the development and introduction of new payment services based on near-field communication (NFC) technology." 

 

 It is known that the review of Apple Pay terms and conditions was completed in December of last year, and I hope to hear good news soon.
